Contending for the Faith against Last Day Creeps

We are entrenched in a culture war. For most of us the battle lines are a little blurry. We got some folks in the church that believe we need to be more open to changing definitions of gender and sexuality. We have others who want to secede from the Union in order to create separate states based on Christian values. The world can be a very confusing place.

What do we make of our changing world? Hostilities are intensifying. We are concerned we may lose our jobs or suffer persecution if we do not go along with liberal social demands. I mean, will grammar teachers be fired if they refuse to teach improper grammar use of pronouns to appease the gender-centric? Will I be fired for not wearing a rainbow pin during gay pride month?

Maybe we can just placate our cultural opponents? Maybe our growing silence will silence our adversaries? After all, we are just friends of Jesus. Why can’t we just bury our heads in the sand and hope it all goes away? This isn’t our battle right? We will fight when it really counts! Or so we tell ourselves. This very same line of thinking paved they way to power for the Nazi Party in 1930’s Germany. Back then it wasn’t rainbow flags that signaled approval of a hostile agenda that could never be appeased.

Does the Bible have anything to say about this growing threat to freedom of speech and to freedom of the Christian faith itself? The Letter of Jude tells of “certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation.” Jude gives us a master class in the anatomy of these Last Day creeps. Find out what makes these creeps tick. Learn how they operate using identity politics pitting victim against privileged. And discover the final destination of these worldly people, devoid of the Spirit, that pursue unnatural desire, reject authority and cause divisions.
