Human senolytic trial shows why enhancement claims need clinical endpoints

Transhumanism · Peer-reviewed clinical trial · Mixed / limits

Source / event date: Nature Medicine, July 2, 2024. Added October 21, 2026.

What happened: A phase 2 trial in postmenopausal women tested intermittent senolytic therapy. The primary bone-resorption measure was not reduced compared with controls at 20 weeks.

Why we track it: Track human outcomes separately from animal results and broad promises about reversing aging.

Assessment: A bounded result in one trial, not proof that all longevity research fails or that lifespan extension has been achieved.
